Dr. B. P. Kothari
   L.C.E.H. (Bom.)

Dr. Kothari is a Homoeopathic Physician and Consultant who has been practicing in the strict    Hahnemannian Discipline since the last 25 years.

The approach is a well-knit integration of the Homeopathic Principles laid down by    Boenninghausen-Boger-Kent with the disciplines of Modern Medicine and Psychiatry.

The approach is holistic. This is absolutely necessary, because Homoeopathy always treats the    whole – the Man: the Man in relation to his Environment, that is, the Family, Society, Work.    Understanding his/her suffering (as expressed by signs and symptoms or other vague
discomforts) is essentially an evaluation of his/her stresses and strains as faced by him/her 'in
   the Environment'.

Hence, homoeopathic case-taking is an elaborate process of data collection, not only of the
signs and symptoms as experienced by the suffering Man (the patient) but also various aspects
of him, that is, his nature, temperament, thoughts and feelings, etc., plus the details of his
Environment, plus a careful study of the manner in which various signs and symptoms have
evolved in the patient 'in the Environment'.

Full co-operation of the patient is therefore desirable for the maximum benefit. All information
provided is of course strictly confidential. Those who are desirous of getting Homoeopathic
treatment should provide a case history along the following lines. If you do not have adequate time
to prepare a write-up along the following lines, please contact Dr. Kothari by telephone or by
e-mail to fix up a mutually convenient time for a case-taking interview (telephonic or through
e-mail) which can last for 60 to 90 minutes. If the following detailed write-up (even if sketchily
prepared) is faxed or e-mailed in advance, the case-taking interview will be shorter and
   more meaningful.

   How Your Case
   Will Be Handled
   & Monitored

Your Case History should be sent to me by e-mail. Once I feel that I have enough information to
take up your case, I will let you know. The details that you send to me will not be enough for me to
commence the treatment. I will inform you that the details have been received and give you a
suitable time so that you can telephone me – this will be the first interview on telephone. During this
interview I shall decide the line of treatment best suitable for you. I will then send, along with detailed
instructions, all the necessary medicines. You will have to send me an e-mail about your condition,
once a week to begin with. You may send more frequent e-mails too about your complaints and
inquiries. If I need any clarifications as the treatment progresses, I will send you e-mails or request
   you to ring me up.

   How Medicines
   Will Be Sent
   To You

All medicines, properly packed, will be sent to you by courier, along with the necessary
instructions. If you wish, they can be also be handed over to your relatives or friends in Baroda.
The courier charges will have to be borne by you. If you wish, you are welcome to suggest a
some other method for collecting the medicines.

   Fees

First consultation after accepting your Case History: Rs. 900.00.
Even though you may already have submitted your Case History, you should be prepared for an
initial interview with me after I have studied your case. This interaction may last for about 60
minutes over telephone or about 90 minutes over Internet.

Treatment: Rs. 150.00 per week, plus the courier charges for the medicines mailed to you. You
may send e-mails to me as often as you wish, but please ring me up only by prior appointment.

NOTE:
These charges do not apply to persons who consult me at Baroda.

   Some Do's &
   Don'ts

  • Except for habits and addictions which are normally considered to be inadvisable, Homoeopathic treatment does not ban any specific food or activity.

  • If something needs to be avoided, you will be so advised.

  • Please do not take any other medicines – not even headache pills
  • or sore-throat lozenges or antacids – without my knowledge and consent, because you may inadvertently be taking a medicine which may merely suppress a condition or negate a specific Homoeopathic remedy.
  • Regular reporting by e-mail is important.

  2. Sensations experienced in the area of trouble.

  3. The physical and emotional factors which according to you bring on the complaints/symptoms and/or the conditions which according to you accompany the complaints/symptoms.

  4. The other complaints/symptoms (such as perspiration, nausea, vomiting, gas, pain).

  5. The physical and emotional factors which according to you increase the complaints/symptoms and those factors which according to you bring relief.

For example, here is how a Gujarati businessman (age 35) from a very wealthy family
in construction business described his complaints/symptoms in a chronological sequence:

  1. Early childhood: Health good. I was fat and often teased for that.

  2. Age 9 (1971): Severe attack of measles followed by recurrent attacks of pneumonia. Reasons not known. I was in a boarding school at Mt. Abu. Taken plenty of antibiotics.

  3. Recurrent colds since then. I suffered a lot throughout the year. Affected studies. Plenty of Antibiotics.

  4. Headache later diagnosed as sinusitis. Again antibiotics. Started some time in 1982? Was not happy because could not get admission in Electronics. I had to take Civil Engineering.

  5. Malaria: 3 attacks in a year, 1987. Establishing myself in Business. Tensions.

  6. ACIDITY: 1990. Business Tensions. May be some tensions at home.

  7. Hypertension 150/100: 1992. Severe headache – I don't know whether this headache was because of sinusitis or high BP. Tension because I was looking for a new house; also, wife's health was poor.

  8. Burning in soles: 1996? Got myself checked for diabetes under doctor's advice but it was normal. Well established in business.

  9. Poor sleep: 1996? Reasons not known. Same circumstances as above.

The above chronological sequence of complaints/symptoms of about 35 years of his life-span is
far from the Totality which a homoeopathic physician would like to have, but the information is
adequate as a starting point on the basis of which he can chalk out a telephonic (or e-mail)
   interview session.

   12. Your Family Doctor's Report
Submit a Medical Report and opinion on your health from your physician. Please include copies
   of reports of investigations done.
